Jason VonWachenfeldt is the Henry and Janie Woods Junior Chair in the Religion and Philosophy department at The Lawrenceville School (Lawrenceville, NJ). He has been there since 2014, where he also currently serves as co-chair of the Interdisciplinary Studies Program, a residence director, and a coach. His teaching ranges from Introduction to Religious Studies to various courses in global ethics, western philosophies, and Tibetan Buddhist philosophies. His Ph.D. examined the influence of modernism on the religious epistemologies of the Catholic theologian Edward Schillebeeckx and the Tibetan Buddhist philosopher Gendun Chopel as a source for interreligious understanding. His current publication interests include the critical study of Christianity in secondary education, methods in Catholic Comparative Theology, comparative Applied Ethics, as well as Christian and Buddhist dialogue with atheisms and a/theologies.
