christina atienza
Christina Atienza serves on the leadership team of the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael. She has taught Catholic theology at Santa Clara University and interreligious learning at the Graduate Theological Union. Her research interests lie at the intersection of human flourishing and theologies of religious life in Roman Catholicism, Sōtō Zen Buddhism, and Tibetan Vajrayāna Buddhism. She earned her Ph.D. in Comparative Religion from the Graduate Theological Union. Before becoming a religious sister, she enjoyed a long career as a professional civil and traffic engineer and long-range transportation planner.
